Welcome
This is my first voyage into the world of photographic websites. I've had a digital SLR now for just over four years and before that I had never really shown much interest in photography. Primarily I bought it to coincide with the birth of my daughter but it has become much more than a vehicle for capturing the history of my family. One of the most wonderful things about landscape photography is that it takes time. It requires a great deal of patience and the reward is peace and inspiration. What was a good shot can become a great shot if you just wait that extra hour for the sun to drop or for a particular cloud to pass into frame. I had always enjoyed the outdoors but it is amazing how different a landscape can be when you take the time to study it more closely. The galleries and images on this site represent my journey into taking more time to view and understand my surroundings and hopefully as I have learnt to appreciate the landscape more it has been reflected in my work. This is very much a work in progress, lots to learn and lots to experiment with. I hope you enjoy it.
